Here's the story as I heard it (I will try to tone down the wild emotion
that was flying (: ):

I decided to include the Mud Admin's in this mail, since they are directly
involved and I don't want to be accused of "whining" or "lying". I've only
spoken with Agape about this (at length) so who knows what other factors
neither of us knew...

Agape had been online all day, working in other windows and waiting for
followers to log in. So at times he was not actively playing, technically,
he was "idling". Tynian noticed Agape online, and decided (I guess) that
he was not playing, just sitting there...so he set his mana to 0 and forced
him to quit.
According to Agape, he was not poked, asked if he was playing, or otherwise
checked on to see if he was actually afw or not.

Agape came back, and he was a bit mad (: After arguing, Madman told him it
was a rule that "idling" was not allowed, and the zeroing of his mana was
his punishment. Several god-'s looked for the corresponding rule, but none
was found, but that doesn't matter. So Agape argued that the endless
creation of rules to govern how everyone plays the game has gotten out of
control.
He was told by Madman, "If you don't like it, leave" or words to that effect.
So Agape left...he then realized that he needed to let his faithful
followers know about his decision. He logged in and wrote us a note. As
soon as he hit Enter after "note post" he was demoted to "Retired", Madman
CHANGED HIS PASSWORD (so no more Agape's could be created) and forced to quit.

I can't speak for anyone else really, although I'm sure my feelings travel
throughout the following on this...the rules have become more and more
oppressive...I've been on this mud for over 3 years now, while that is not
as long as some, its long enough...I get mad over things, but its like
heroin...I might not be pleased with what it does, but damnit, I can't stay
away (: (No, I don't do heroin, just my way of describing my feelings for
TFC).

I personally feel that the Imp's were sorta waiting for a chance to do
this, because Agape has been outspoken about many topics, and was not loved
by the Higher Ups...perhaps I'm wrong?

I remember when this mud was fun (: I still have a good time, but im
equally bummed out by people who feel the need to cheat and or control the
way others play. As for myself, I have never broken any rules, never spent
any time in the cooler, and only cussed 2 or 3 times, and only once
(accidentally) on a public channel. The rest of the following, Abrasive as
they are, are the same...we are not liked, but that is a role-playing
thing...we are not rule-breakers...

Anyway, Agape has asked that we consider joining Cerebus, for he feels our
talents will do the most good in that particular following...for right now,
I'm gonna enjoy Vampiric Touch, and visit some temples I haven't seen.

People, this is a game...we are all here to have a good time...rules to
make the mud "more like real life" are going to be the final blow that
kills The Final Challenge...if we wanted things to be more like real life,
we wouldn't be on TFC.

I hope this note doesn't come across as "flaming"...I've tried to present
the facts and my view on things in a mature way, that I you all appreciate.
If any discussion is forthcoming, or you have any comments, send me mail,
and if you would like, I'll remail it to the above people, those who
expressed interest in the matter.

Thanks for caring/listening (:
